Beef Jerky

Most of the beef jerky options at the grocery store are loaded with monosodium glutamate (MSG), which is an additive that can raise levels of glutamate and increase anxiety and stress.

Refined Carbs

Refined carbs like white bread and pasta can cause rapid spikes in your blood sugar levels, leaving you feeling anxious. 

In fact, researchers at Columbia University recently discovered that a woman's diet high in sugar and refined grains can put her at risk of depression.

Condiments

Many condiments and salad dressings contain high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), which can cause unstable blood sugar levels leading to stress. 

Since HFCS is sweeter than regular sugar (say what?), you're more likely to crave it and consume more, which, as we all can guess, leads to weight gain. Look for low sugar condiment options next time you're grocery shopping.
