Just because vegetables are considered "healthy," doesn't mean they are all good foods to eat specifically for weight loss. In fact, there's a whole category of vegetables that won't help you shed some pounds.

According to a study conducted researchers at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, this category of vegetables can actually make you gain weight...

Researchers studied the daily food intake of about 130,000 adults over two decades. Every four years, researchers received recordings of what participants ate daily for a week, and every two years, participants revealed their weight. 

According to the findings, starchy vegetables won't help you lose weight! 

Examples of starchy vegetables include peas, corn and potatoes. The findings of the study actually proved that these veggies can make you gain weight!

Corn was the worst, with 2 pounds of weight gained for every additional serving over four years. So if you're trying to lose weight, it might be beneficial to cut out starchy veggies!
