The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced on Twitter that Ricky Gervais will be hosting the 2016 Golden Globes.

“We’re excited to have Ricky Gervais back to host the most enjoyable awards show of the season in his own inimitable way,” said NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt in a statement. “Disarming and surprising, Ricky is ready to honor — and send up — the best work of the year in film and television. Fasten your seats belts.”

This will be the first time Gervais is returning to the Golden Globes stage. He hosted the award show from 2010-2012, and will be following in the footsteps of Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, who also hosted three years in a row.

“What will he say? What will he do? We can’t wait to find out, and we are so happy that he’s back!,” said Barry Adelman, executive vice president of Television for Dick Clark productions and executive producer of the 73rd Golden Globes.

The 2016 Golden Globes will be held on January 10 and nominations will be announced on December 10.
