With less than two weeks away until Mother’s Day, we thought it would be fun to see what other moms around the country want for their special day. You know, so we can all get some fresh ideas and show the men in our lives that there’s more to Mother’s Day than flowers.
First up is Claire Theobald, co-owner of Beatrix New York, one of our favorite manufacturers of cool and whimsical children’s accessories loved by the tots of celebrities such as Halle Berry, Meg Ryan and Tobey Maguire. She lives in Greenwich Village in New York City with her ten year-old twins, Alex and Juliane, and in her arms in the photo above is Teddy, her other “baby”.
Here’s what the savvy mom wants for Mother’s Day:
Cake Pops by Bakerella: My kids and I love to bake together and for just over $11, this cookbook would be a fantastic source of fun to create these almost too-cute-to-eat confections.
Pandora One Subscription: I have recently discovered this free, personalized internet radio site, which helps find new music based on existing favorites with amazing accuracy. For $36, I would love to experience Pandora with no pop-up or audio ads.
M-Edge Custom Designed iPad Cover: I have spent way more hours than I care to admit searching for the perfect cover for my new iPad 2. This site allows complete customization for $50 with your own artwork or photos. I’d like a cover with a photo of my children or perhaps I can get my business partner, Marcus Woolcott, to design one for me with Beatrix’s Papar the owl character!
Hatsnstuff Verity Fascinator Hat: With all of the recent Royal Wedding hullabaloo, I have become fascinated with fascinators and would love to wear this one out to Mother’s Day brunch (preferably in London!).
Jimmy Choo Zone Sandals: Every mommy needs a bit of fantasy in her life to escape the daily grind. For me, these totally glam shoes (priced at $950) give plenty to dream about.
