The last Damien Hirst fashion collaboration we heard about resulted in a $55,000 pill covered backpack. This time, the artist is teaming up with Alexander McQueen on a range of scarves featuring bugs in the shape of skulls. Sounds about right to us.
This 30-piece, limited edition collection is in celebration of the 10 year anniversary of McQueen’s signature skull prints. It promises twill, chiffon and cashmere scarves with designs inspired by Hirst’s famous “Entomology” series. If you haven’t checked that out yet (don’t worry, we haven’t either), it basically means that the scarves will feature spiders, butterflies and other insects in the shape of McQueen’s skulls.
The Damien Hirst Alexander McQueen scarves will be available this November at McQueen boutiques and at alexandermcqueen.com. Prices start at $476.50.
