The episode of Sex and the City where Samantha buys a fake Fendi out of the back of a truck is one of my all-time favorites. But while her faux-purse faux pas was comic gold, it had me hoping that none of my acquaintances would ever have to endure the trauma of getting busted by a Bunny for carrying a knockoff. With Net-a-Porter's sale—which, conveniently, coincides with the time stimulus checks are making their way to our mailboxes—there's a real (and relatively affordable) Fendi clutch for everyone, no matter which SATC character we identify with.
If you're a Carrie: Fendi's oyster-hued ruched beaded clutch ($924, was $1,320) has enough offbeat drama to be a statement piece with a fabulous gown or jeans and a black tee. Rows of pearly purple-gray beads are nestled within so-hot ruffles for a girly glam effect.
If you're a Miranda: The To You nappa leather clutch ($684, was $1,140) is both sleek and practical. You can fit more than a black AmEx in there, and it acts as an instant upgrade to any outfit, without screaming "label!"
If you're a Samantha: Pick something bold and outlandish, like the lipstick-pink Borderline clutch ($697, was $1,040). In a jewel-inspired, look-at-me-hue that goes brilliantly with other brights, this frilly clutch makes no apologies for being forthright and fabulous.
If you're a Charlotte: Show off your regal Park Avenue chic with a classic satin clutch ($494, was $705) in sophisticated navy and black. Not too showy, this ladylike handbag is more about quality and timelessness than flash.
