Maybe you haven’t worn cargo pants since the late ’90s, but they’re going through a revolution–try a pair of army green skinny cargo pants like Khloe Kardashian and Rihanna did. Who knew these two were fashion soulmates? Check out the Kardashian for Bebe line, too.
Both Rihanna and Khloe Kardashian wore these J Brand Houlihan Cargo skinny pants ($230), and they’re not your park ranger’s cargo shorts. Interestingly enough, they both paired the pants with leopard shoes. This isn’t the first time Khloe and Rihanna stepped out in similar outfits though:
Whose outfit do you prefer?
Let’s start with the daytime look–something both of the girls agree on, the pants and the shoes:
J Brand is known for their amazing fit–check out their new collaboration with Proenza Schouler–and these J Brand Houlihan Cargo Skinny Pants ($230) are a sexy version of the classic cargo pant. A touch of leopard always makes an outfit pop, and these Dolce Vita Women’s Trinity Pumps ($209.95) are a great neutral that pair well with most colors.
First, Rihanna’s look:
Rihanna wore a cropped, striped top with cutouts, and this Wyatt navy striped asymmetrical hem boyfriend tank ($38) is a nice alternative. This star is rarely seen without her sunglasses, and these Nine West Rimless sunglasses ($30.99) are a less expensive version of the classic Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses. She topped off the outfit with a silver necklace, and this Topshop Bolts and Chain Rope necklace ($40.00) looks right up her edgy alley.
Now, how to get Khloe’s look:
Khloe paired her J Brand Houlihan Cargo Skinny Pants with a basic button up like this Banana Republic Slubby button-down ($49.50). Her straw fedora made the outfit even cooler, and this Nordstrom Straw fedora ($38) is almost an exact replica.
The Hermes belt she wears is expensive, but this Fina Firenze Stretch belt ($24.90) gives a similar look, and I love this Melie Bianco Flap Over bag ($57.75),which will add a touch of sophistication to the cargo pants.
