Draped Cardigans Are The Official Uniform Of Holiday Travel
November 20, 2013
The holiday travel season starts this week and, if you’re taking any type of public transit, you know what that means: long lines and crowds. That, and the fact that you’ll have zero control over the temperature on said public transit. Seriously, someone somewhere must have once made it a rule that all crowded public areas be freezing.
Thanks to them and the hoards of people just trying to get home, comfort is difficult to come by–but a draped sweater can seriously help. Sure, you already have your travel wear ready (leggings or your most comfortable pair of jeans, a cute cotton tee, loafers that can easily slide off), but forgetting some type of cardigan to keep you warm when the AC is blasting or that you can use as a pillow for when you doze off is a big mistake. The extra fabric on a draped sweater adds a cozy feel and a lot of on-the-go utility, from pulling it over your eyes for a quick nap and using it as a blanket to keep warm to looking casually put together when you step off that plane, bus or train.
Wherever you are going this holiday season, a draped sweater is a pretty crucial addition to your travel wear. And it’s a really good addition to your regular wardrobe, too.
