Here at, we’re hearing from all of you who are feeling the recessionary pinch. So we’ve scouted our local drug stores and tested products to make sure you can look your best without going broke. We’ll post a drug store beauty bargain each week, so stay tuned!

Tropez nail enamelSally Hansen Xtreme Wear

What: Wet & Wild Nail Shine $0.99

Tropez Nail Enamel $1.99;

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polish $2.89

Why: As my 401k sinks, so has my budget for the beloved mani-pedi. Fortunately, I've found a world of wonder in the aisles of the drug store! For a fraction of the cost of a manicure at a salon, I can buy as many colors as I want and feel like I splurged. While these polishes might not survive an entire week of typing or other finger intensive exercises… the low price means you can afford to treat yourself to a DIY manicure every day.

We love product suggestions and are willing to try anything (well, most anything!) at least once. So tell us your favorite drug store beauty bargain and it might be reviewed for a future post!
