Exclusive! Teen Mom's Farrah Abraham Talks Moving Away From Home
August 24, 2011
Was anyone else as surprised as we were when Farrah said she was thinking of moving to California on last night’s episode of Teen Mom? We just had to find out what she was thinking.
How did you think your parents would react to your plans to move?
I first thought it would be a horrible thing for my parents to hear–and it was. But I did expect it to be easy so I wasn’t shocked by anything my parents said.
What were you expecting when you went to visit California?
I expected California to be better priced and that the economy would be thriving more than what it was. Thinking about Sophia and me, it just didn’t feel like it was the perfect fit and I didn’t want to move to a place that didn’t feel right. I love California, but it just wasn’t right the right place for me to live.
Did you have any concerns about moving away from your parents?
Honestly, at the time, I just wanted to branch out, move way and do it on my own. I was ready and excited for a change.
Were you worried about finding someone trustworthy to watch Sophia?
I was very concerned about finding child care. I interviewed nannies during my visits and checked out websites like Sittercity and some other different nanny services.
So did you eventually move?
You’ll have to continue watching to find out.
Okay, can you offer any words of wisdom for other moms who are working and going to school?
I feel the best choice I’ve made through working hard and trying to build a future is to make sure I go to counseling to have “me time.” I also try to keep good people in our lives and stay away from immature activity.
