As a bride, you can’t go wrong with black as an accent. Whether it’s a little pop of the hue, like black wedding shoes, or all-out black & white themed decor, black is elegant, a little dramatic and it goes with every complimenting color, pastel to bold. Black and white as a wedding theme is a great idea for winter, when going all white seems a little inappropriate and too much black seems a little goth. It’s the best of both worlds (just ask Kim Kardashian!).

Luckily, this fall, black-accented wedding shoes are a huge bridal trend. Derived from fall 2012’s colorblock heel trend, this bridal shoe phenomenon is perfect for brides with black in their color scheme. Designers like Giuseppe Zanotti and Christian Louboutin have adapted the trend for brides in the form of Swarovski cap-toe flats, black & gold strappy sandals and more.

If you’re throwing a black & white themed wedding, you need to see this: black wedding dresses (inspired by Vera Wang), and damask invitations.
