Fancy Stretch Mark Prevention Products: Are They Really Worth It?

Call it vanity or conceit, but when I first found out I was pregnant, I immediately started slathering my belly in anything that promised to prevent stretch marks. From good old fashioned Palmer’s Cocoa Butter to more expensive products like Belli Skin Care’s Elasticity Oil, I tried any and everything. And it worked. I’m still working on the baby weight, but there aren’t any stretch marks on my belly.

Problem is, I tried so many different products simultaneously, I’m not entirely sure which one(s) worked. Was it the $8 tub of cocoa butter or the $39 bottle of Elasticity Belly Oil? Could I have saved some myself some serious cash by just sticking with less expensive option?

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter ($8)

Belli Elasticity Oil ($39)
