Fashion Alert: Everything's Still Coming Up Rosy
March 5, 2008
Last year's rosette trend has anything but wilted. In fact it’s, dare we say… in full bloom. The rosettes themselves have spread from dresses to accessories, and with spring 08 right around the corner promising to be all about feminine and pretty, now’s the perfect time to snag some rosie bags, dresses, and shoes.
If you’re up for a splurge, this snakeskin rosebud bag ($473) from Lelya is the perfect combo of girly and bad-ass. The Loeffler Randall for Target clutch ($20) is perfect for a night out – just big enough to fit your keys, lip-gloss, and all that money you saved. Betsey Johnson's prim and proper satin clutch ($175) will complement any ensemble.
The rosette trend was hot on the red carpet, as demonstrated by the likes of Anne Hathaway. You can channel her look with this fiery red Jill Stuart Dress ($765). For a more demure option, try this Escada Pleated Knit Dress with subtle rosette waist detail ($1890).
And for those of us on a budget… don’t pass up Loeffler Randall’s shoes for Target. Fun, flirty, and affordable! I just snapped up a pair of these ballerina flats ($30). And spring sandals ($82) from the aptly named British brand Poetic License are truly poetry in motion. If you feel like jumping on the nautical bandwagon (or boat, I guess) opt for a pair of these Kate Spade Espadrilles ($135).
More roses for your toes:
