SheFinds Solutions: Taking Care of Fine Fashions
November 14, 2005
We here at SheFinds like to extol the virtues of a good wardrobe but the fact is – keeping your shoes and clothing neat and tidy, especially while on the go in today’s fast-paced world, takes some effort. This is time well spent, however, with a little preparation and effort, the life of your favorite boots or best cashmere sweater, can be extended for years of wear.
The first tool I swear by is a sweater shaver. This little beauty cleans up those little balls that appear when wearing that new sweater and doing any sort of movement in it.
This lovely sweater saver can be found at cashmereelite.com (it’s currently out of stock but they tell me it will be available again soon). Brookstone.com also has an electric model. Or you can get a manual stone sweater smoother.
Second on the must-have list is a good boot remover. The fact is, about 90% of us use the toe of one boot to push on the heel of the other helping squeeze our tired feet out of our boots. (The telltale scuffs say it all.)
The Ampinex Boot Remover will help preserve the life of your favorite boots with its silicone inlays that grip the heel of your boot, enabling you to easily slip your foot out. You can find this great invention at ampinex.com.
Last on our must-have list is the all-important Fashion Emergency Kit includes a lint brush, wet towel, black marker, mini sewing kit and double-sided tape. There’s also a mini book on fashion emergencies and how to survive them. Find the kit at seejanework.com.
