Resort is officially my new favorite season. I’m sick of winter, summer is too far away to contemplate, and spring has been so done. Resort wear is definitely where it’s at. Resort Wear effectively toes the line between winter and spring. The clothes clearly have their own look, but are versatile enough to wear outside the designated season without looking out of place. This Ella Moss Empire Long Sleeve Dress ($141) is effortlessly sexy, and can be dressed way up or way down, which seams to be a recurring theme in this season’s resort wear. Which is good, because if I’m adding an entire season to my wardrobe, I really can’t afford (or fit in my tiny, overstuffed closet) fancy resort and casual resort. Another great thing about Resort wear is that it is one of the very few times you can get away with wearing a lot of pure, blinding white. Unless you live in Miami, or are Donatella Versace, then you can wear it all the time. This Diane von Furstenberg Eyelet Bellette Wrap Dress ($465) is best accessorized with a Mai-Tai and a non-English speaking surf instructor.
