Fashion Week Poll: DKNY's Fall 2006 Collection

imageAll week we’ve been seeing black- not just on the streets of NYC where it’s de rigueur but on the runway. It seems that the agreed upon palette for Fall 2006 is deep, dark, and rich. More mid-winter than autumn, burgundy, forest green, and black have been the theme. DKNY’s presentation was definitely hip, targeting a younger, jet-set crowd. Sleek pieces mixed in with boxy shapes, the cuts are wearable for the masses- a consistent strength of the designs. However, we found some pieces a little too square (in shape, not style) and not even flattering on the models. And then there was the school-girl touches, which really, aren’t we done with that for awhile? It felt a little early Britney Spears. The bold blue and brown print was interesting, nice splash of color but almost reminiscent of tie-dye. Check out the pictures (from and let us know what you think…
