Find of the Day: Tea Tree Oil, the Natural Lice Repellant

A parenting horror story made the rounds last week at baseball practice. With all the sharing of helmets, it turns out the coach’s kid gave some other players on the team lice. Nice.

Protect your kids–and your sanity–with kid-friendly products that contain tea tree oil. It’s a natural ingredient that’s proven effective in the war against lice. One of our favorites is Boo! Spray Conditioner ($15) from So Cozy. A post-bath spritz repels both lice and ticks.

We’re also huge fans of California Baby’s Tea Tree & Lavender Shampoo and Body Wash ($12). It’s gentle, tear-free and is effective against dandruff, dermatitis, eczema and lice.
