Find One Lost Glove In A City Of 8 Million People
January 7, 2008
What: One Cold Hand
Why: Rarely does a winter go by that I don't lose at least one cold-weather accessory. This season alone I've left behind a precious cashmere scarf at an office happy hour and a Coach umbrella during brunch with the girls.
That's why I'm so excited about a new website that helps New Yorkers reconnect with their lost gloves and mittens. Users of the site, called One Cold Hand (which first launched in Pittsburgh), simply post a photograph and location for stray gloves and mittens. Though the site has lofty goals — to "connec[t] the community of the five boroughs through one unfortunate event … the loss of a glove." I'm just happy to have a means of getting my stuff back.
Now, has anyone seen a pair of Marc Jacobs mittens?
