Flatforms were all over the runway during New York Fashion Week, and we can’t say we loved the look. It’s the same idea as platforms, and those didn’t really work in the 80s. So we’re surprised that so many designers decided to send them down the runway for Spring 2014. We always think of Alice + Olivia as a cute brand, and let me tell you, flatforms are not cute. And how about Tommy Hilfiger? He usually adds class to the runway, but the big shoes definitely took away from the look. Lets just say this won’t be a trend we take on for spring. Click the slideshow to find out what other designers attempted, but failed, with this look on the runway.
