Writer and sneaker guru Matt Powell predicted his sneaker business trends for 2014 in his regular column “Sneakernomics.” In addition to the shuttering of mom and pop stores, the rapid rise of athleisure, and Nike Roshe knock-offs, one of his top ten predictions includes white sneakers.“Prediction #3: All white shoes make a nice comeback once spring arrives. Well, Mr. Powell, we’re right there with you. Ever since February’s Fall 2014 runway shows, editors, buyers, bloggers, and more were spotted in clean white sneakers in super simple styles, most especially the Adidas Stan Smith. So it looks like we were on the white sneaker bandwagon well before spring started. For those of you that still need to get yourself a pair, you’re just on time. Check out our slideshow of polished white sneakers in a number of different styles — from high-tops to classic slip-ons — and wear them with just about everything you own.
