Cali-based brand, Brandy Melville, is gaining some serious street cred here in NYC, in Boston, and of course, in the Golden State. Teens and young adults love this brand, not only because it is super soft, comfortable, and one-size-fits-all (aka. one-size-fits-most skinny chicks), but also because of the unique graphic tees. Brandy is actually so hot right now that two other popular retailers, Forever 21 and Necessary Clothing, felt the need to totally rip-off Brandy Melville’s ‘Killin It’ top ($20).
These two retailers may have played it safe with Brandy Melville when they jacked the design, because it is not an exact replica. But they definitely didn’t play it safe with eachother. Both the Forever 21 and NC crop tops have the phrase “Killin’ It. All The Time,” while the original Brandy top only says “Killin’ It.” But why would both of these retailers make the same exact top? And why does one cost $4 more than the other? Can you guess which one is from F21 and which one is from Necessary? Let us know in the comments below.
