Wellness Wednesday: 4 Workout Classes That Will Make Exercising More Fun

If you are someone that has been trying to get to the gym more often or be more active, then you know the struggle. Sometimes the thought of going to the gym can be so dreadful because you know it’s going to be the same workout on the same machines (boring!). But believe it or not, there are ways to spice up your workout routine so you actually enjoy it.

The secret? Workout classes! Guided classes are great because they have a trained instructor, aka someone there to motivate you the entire time. If you choose the right class, the music and upbeat energy of the other participants will totally take your mind off the fact that you’re working out.

Need some inspo? Here are four classes you should try either by yourself or with a friend.

  1. Kickboxing: This full body workout will not only help you burn some major calories, but is also a great stress relief. Without realizing it, you are actually toning your entire body and getting in some great cardio.
  2. Spin: Whether you’re taking SoulCycle or Peloton, this workout is crazy good. Spinning is a great way to build endurance and improve your cardiovascular health. Just taking two 30 min classes a week can make a huge difference.
  3. Dance: Now I know you’re probably thinking how will dance get you in shape, but it is actually one of the best workouts you can do. Not only is it a great form of cardio, but it also benefits your mood and mind.
  4. Trampoline: Now who said trampolines were just for kids? When jumping, you increase the circulation of oxygen in your entire body. You’re also able to exercise for longer because you feel less tired or sore than a traditional workout. The best part is that it causes less pressure on your joints.
