Get The Look For Less: Best Dressed Celebs At The Grammy Awards

February 1, 2010 by Marisa Siegel

The Grammys are always a bit of a wild card, where celebs have fun with their style selections.  This year’s red carpet was no exception: from super tight minis to floor sweeping gowns, most stars kept it simple with structured body conscious mini dresses or trendy one-shoulder dresses.  Here, we’ve broken down whose looks were number one hits and how to make their dresses work off the red carpet.

Jennifer Hudson showed off her huge star power and tiny waist in this black peplum dress by Victoria Beckham.  The style of this ensemble successfully keeps her tummy hidden and looking flat. To get her look, try this sophisticated number by Torn By Ronny Kobo. Plus, we’ve put together a whole guide of dresses to hide your tummy so you can choose your favorite style.

Fergie proves that she has most definitely been working on her fitness in this super tight, super short mini by Emilio Pucci.  We love how the metallic wraps around her curves.  Get the party started in a blue strapless mini by Jill Stuart with a sash at the side.

Taylor Swift loves to sparkle at awards shows and the Grammys were no exception.  Get the look of blue sequins and elegant drama with this Alice + Olivia dress. Taylor pulled out all the dramatic stops on the red carpet in Kaufman Franco, shortly before winning her first Grammy.

The newly engaged Carrie Underwood was literally glowing last night in a flowing gown by Edition by Georges Chakra. Get Carrie’s look in cocktail style with this mini by Foley + Corinna. The asymmetrical cutouts on the neckline give this fancy look a modern edge.

Glee’s breakout star Lea Michele dazzled in a trendy one shoulder look with a feathered bottom by Romana Keveza.  The wow-factor of this dress is all in the details from the feathers to the ruched waist to the sheer top overlay, the combination is flawless.  Shimmy into your next party like Lea did, in a similar dress by Haute Hippie.

Keep up with all of this award season’s best red carpet looks, including the top 5 from last week’s SAG Awards. See more party dresses and party shoes, and then find out how your favorite stars stay looking good with our celebrity style guides, including celebrity dresses and shoes.
