Girls Costume Designer Jenn Rogien To Work On American Eagle's Lingerie Line

Aerie, American Eagle Outfitter’s lingerie brand, has commissioned Jenn Rogien, the award-winning costume designer from HBO’s Girls, as the brand’s “style and fit expert,” according to WWD. Sadly, there will be no product collaborations (we would have loved to see a “Hannah” bra – considering she doesn’t seem to wear one!), but the partnership will include Rogien offering style advice to customers, as well as in-store appearances and video promotions. The kick-off date for these events has not yet been announced.

Rogien says that the characters she dresses in Girls reflect Aerie’s young, honest, and fresh approach to lingerie:

I’ve used aerie as an intimates resource for years. I love that aerie is about real girls who are wearing fun undies as a part of their everyday wardrobe, to the point where it becomes a must-have accessory. Those intimates have helped me tell the stories of real girls, pretty girls, fun girls.
