French Vogue has declared those 80’s denim stand-by styles– acid-washed and ripped jeans– to be back. In this month’s edition, the photos harken back to the days of White Snake and Motley Crue with models in edgy denim shorts, jackets, and jeans by Guess, Diesel, Used, Maison Martin Margiela, and Guilty Brotherhood. There’s even a frayed cowboy-style denim shirt with the sleeves ripped off. Not all of the photos are suitable for work, but here's one that illustrates the "new" trend.
Apparently, the frayed look is back with a vengeance. We let you in on the denim cut-offs trend popping up all over Hollywood, and it's not stopping there.
Will you be pulling your old favorites from the back of your closet, buying new pieces like these acid-washed jeans ($198), torn up True Religions ($240), or frayed L.G.B. jacket ($240) – or simply passing on this trend altogether? Vote below and let us know!
