First, the bad news:

As if the show that defines “train wreck” hasn’t done enough retinal and cerebral scarring to the masses, Jersey Shore has stepped off of reality TV into fashion. Beware Jenni Farley, aka JWoWW, now hawking her “shirts” on her very own website, which speaks for itself. We’re passing and opting for tasteful festive attire instead. [NY Mag]

The public must be feeling really insecure lately because the popular military style is trending towards bulletproof clothing–real and otherwise. Until we have gigs that bring us into potential bullet-wielding situations, we’ll stick to the safety our Spanx brings, thank you very much. [NYT]

Now, the good news:

Celebrity favorite accessories line, Dannijo, has launched what brand co-founder calls “the ultimate accessories experience.” With mixed metal and Swarovski crystals, we’re head over heels for the sister’s line and their new site. Check out what we’ve had to say in the past about Dannijo’s rocking handmade baubles. [Stylelist]

Wear what you want because, supposedly, “Everything is in style.” Along with the end of the ‘000’s, it may also be “the end of the trend” as runway and reality become ever closer, allowing fast fashion to eat its way through seasonal trends. We’re happy to wear popular trends, of course, but we also welcome the chance for more freedom of fashion expression. [WSJ]
