Let’s start with the good news today–it’s Fashion Week, after all:

If you’re coveting the short, choppy locks of undone celebs like Chloe Sevigny and off-duty runway models this week, now you can get the same look–at home. Gotta love the recession. See our road-tested dry hair repair products to keep the ‘do healthy, and easy celeb hairdos for lazy days.  [Refinery29]

For non-fashion editor types, the front rows of fashion shows are starting to open up. Now that tickets are sold through Ebay, American Express and other venues, many fashion industry types are relegated to seats further back (aka not front row). So long to the hierarchies of fashion shows past: find out which designers are live-streaming their shows online. [WSJ]

Oprah will be auctioning off her clothing on her Ebay page starting March 1. The sale of 150 items will include size 9 shoes by Prada and Jimmy Choo, Bottega Veneta and more. We don’t know if they’ve been worn by Oprah herself, but we wouldn’t mind it. All proceeds will go towards the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. Stay tuned for updates. [NY Post]

Now, for the bad news:

We mentioned earlier that Alexander McQueen was found dead in his London apartment, by apparent suicide. His camp has responded by canceling his New York Fashion Week presentation that was supposed to happen today, and closed the store until Saturday, which has a white curtain across the front window. See our round-up of his pieces available online now that are soon-to-be collectors’ items. [The Cut]

Some people think Eryn Brinie’s new fall 2010 collection looks too much like Alexander Wang’s from last year. This Fashion Week, snag a great pair of front-row worthy sunglasses. [Fashionista]
