Good Question: Convertible Style Bra in 38G

Question: I hope you can help me. I need a halter or convertible style bra in a 38G. Any ideas?

Answer: Of course, we have lots of ideas, starting with Le Mystere! The Dream Shameless Contour Strapless Bra is fully convertible, strapless and backless yet it stays put. This company knows how to design good bras for full figured women (another Le Mystere model was one of Oprah’s Favorite Spring Things in 2003). Le Mystere’s Carina Convertible Bra is only partially convertible (the straps detach in back), but both styles are molded, have a hidden underwire for support and are made of Le Mystere’s comfy signature microfiber.

Although Va Bien has been around a lot longer than Le Mystere, it isn’t as widely known in the states despite being the only company holding a patent on mechanically designed, backless, strapless lingerie in the U.S. Va Bien’s Ultra-Lift Seamless Foam Cup Strapless Convertible Bra gives lift and support for well endowed women. Like the others, it can be worn several ways while remaining light and comfortable.

For special occasions, “light and comfortable,” would be great, but I’d prefer sturdy and dependable. I wore the Goddess Lace Longline Underwire Bra on my wedding day and a couple other nights out. It comes with detachable halter straps and the support was better than I’ve ever had with any other strapless bra, although I did have to hike it up throughout the evening.
