Good Stuff From Mall Stores: Unembellished, Refreshingly Plain Cardigans At Chico's

It is now officially cold. Which means it's time to add to my sweater wardrobe. So it worked out in my favor when I checked out Chico's for this week's Mall Stores feature and found their cardigans to be simple, comfortable, and worth taking home.

Like a lot of stores catering to women over 35, Chico's gets heavy on the embellishments — I spotted tons of glittery sweaters with bejeweled collars. Retailers need to catch on to the fact that women can look dressed up without resorting to sparkles. Fortunately, this Textures Cardigan in Ecru ($118) was devoid of any distractions – a great fall/winter staple to toss on over a tee and jeans. I also appreciated the Elisa Cardigan ($78) – a roomier, boyfriend style in an unusual, warm fall hue.
