Last night, Joseph Altuzarra took home the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award, the prestigious $300,000 scholarship of sorts whose past winners include Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, Sophie Theallet and others.
Altuzarra beat out fellow designers Cushnie et Ochs, Pamela Love, Suno, FENTON/FALLON and others to win.
If you’ve never heard of the brand, Altuzarra is known for bringing a sexy-cool vibe to womenswear staples like sweaters and coats (before starting his own label, he was at Marc Jacobs and Givenchy).
Many of his pieces are already selling out, like this awesome Cypress satin-twill jacket at Net-A-Porter.
