Remember when we told you how many good designer deals are on Zappos Couture? Well, the site is about to get that much better thanks to it’s new Artistic Director André Leon Talley. The former Vogue editor and fashion personality (remember his cameo in the first Sex and The City movie?) is overseeing all editorial content including fashion shoots, trend picks and videos–which you can check out when it all debuts January 22nd.
Zappos Couture is hoping with Leon Talley onboard, they can expand their designer offerings (which already include: Lanvin, Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Proenza Schouler and more), eventually becoming THE destination for online luxury shopping. According to an interview with WWD, Leon Talley says his goal is to “create something unique, in terms of a Web magazine within the Zappos Couture website, that conveys the immediacy and excitement of luxury retail products, season by season.” We can’t wait to see what Zappos does! Especially since they had the most amazing response ever to recent comments made against them by none other than Kanye West. He probably thinks he should have Leon Talley’s new job.
