It’s already pretty obvious that technology is changing the fashion and beauty industries faster than a Kate Middleton look-a-like dress will sell out.

In 2013 alone, Apple and Burberry teamed up to live stream a fashion show as the launch for a new video quality on an iPhone. And now, the old Burberry CEO is taking over e-commerce sales for what is arguably the world’s biggest technology company. The Victoria’s Secret Angels wore delicate wings down the runway that no designer slaved away on–instead, those designers fed the designs to a 3D printer. Every athletic brand out there tied to win over our aesthetic eye when it came to fitness trackers and other “wearable tech” accessories–and so far, only the rose gold Nike Fuelband has received any fashion applause.

And luckily, all of this tech influence in fashion is a very, very good thing. Why? Because digitally engaged female shoppers are a startup’s dream demographic–and if they can win us by alleviating our annoyances, we will be oh so loyal.
