In case you missed it, here is what happened at Apple’s latest event that took place at Apple campus in Cupertino, California.
Apple Watch: There’s a new watchband in town! The new four layer construction comes in a few different colors and is a woven nylon. The price of the Apple Watch has dropped to $299.
Apple TV: There are 5K apps in the App Store for Apple TV. Also, there are folders you can use to organize your Apple TV and you can use Siri for the App Store. Live Photos are coming to tvOS as well.
iPhone SE: Apple introduced a brand new iPhone to the family that’s called the iPhone SE. It looks similar to the iPhone 5 but has capabilities very similar to the iPhone 6S, like a 64-bit A9 processor and the M9 motion coprocessor. There is a 12-megapixel camera and the ability to capture live photos. Apple says the iPhone SE is 50% faster than the iPhone 5 and are calling it the “most powerful 4-inch phone ever.” It starts at $399 for 16GB. Pre-order begins on March 24 and it’s available March 31.
iOS 9.3: With the new software update there’s a feature called Night Shift, which will automatically switch colors at night to help you sleep better. You can password-protect certain notes within the notes app. There are also new education features. The iOS 9.3 update is available today.
iPad Pro 9.7-inch: The second edition to the iPad Pro family weighs just one pound and has a 9.7-inch display. It’s 40% less reflective than the iPad Air 2 and 25% brighter. It features “True Tone Display” that measures the color temperature to the surrounding light and adjusts the screen to match. There’s a custom-sized Smart Keyboard and it supports Siri. Plus, there’s a 12-megapixel camera and the ability to take live photos since we know everyone loves taking pics with their iPad. It’s available in Rose Gold and starts at $599 for 32GB.
