Last week, an Ice Bucket Challenge Halloween costume from etailer went viral, with sites like BuzzFeed and EliteDaily calling it “inevitable” and “sad.” Sure, the Ice Bucket Challenge videos are clogging up your news feed, but the whole thing is just good fun for a good cause, so I don’t get what the big deal is. Even these Halloween costumes benefit the ALS foundation (Brands On Sale will be donating $10 for every Ice Bucket Challenge costume sold.) OK, haters??

Alas, the costume is $39.99 and not all of us are organized enough to order our Halloween costumes in advance. If you’re scrambling for a last-minute costume idea and don’t want to spend $40 on the official Ice Bucket Challenge one, you can easily make your own. All you need is some ice trays and an ice bucket (which you might already have, but we’ve included some in the slideshow above), some faux ice cubes and a fisherman’s net or mosquito net to attach the ice cubes to so it looks like they are spilling over your head. Clever! Click through the slideshow above to shop all the parts.
