How I Convinced My Boss To Love Wedges

Wedges can be hit or miss–a quick office poll revealed that roughly 50% of SHEfinds editors have a pair they love–while the other half definitely does not. “I can’t stand wedges.” my editor Jeanine said flatly. “You just haven’t found the right pair!” I assured her. And so my challenge to find not only cute wedges, but under $100 ones (the amount a wedge naysayer would be willing to pay to try them) was under way. It didn’t take long for me to find over 20 pairs that satisfied most, if not all, of the following qualities: versatile, comfortable, affordable, NOT fugly, and cute.

And if you need me to make even MORE of a case for wedges, here it is: they’re infinitely more comfortable and easy to walk in that heels (especially stiletos and pumps), they come in a variety of heel heights and materials (although wooden is a personal fav, and espadrille can be hit or miss), they’re great with pants and dresses alike, and they give you a little leg-lengthening and slimming boost – no matter the heel height.

If you’re convinced – I’m looking at you, Jeanine! – click through the slideshow above for my favorite pairs under $100. You’re welcome, America!
