Folding sheets is not a fun task. Storing sheets is a whole other conversation. I can honestly say linen closets give me anxiety. Sheets are so hard to find because they are usually rolled in a ball, and forget about trying to find a matching pillowcase. Thankfully, there is a really easy way to store sheets in a linen closet so you can grab them in a pinch.
Before I get into how to store sheets, here’s a simple tutorial from Martha Stewart on how to fold a fitted sheet. The trick is to tuck each corner into each other and fold them over so they lay flat. Watch the video below to get a better idea. It may take some practice, but you’ll get the hang of it!
Once you’ve folded your sheets, take one of the pillowcases from the set and use it as a storage bag! Lay your folded sheets inside the pillowcase and stack them on a shelf in your linen closet. Now, when you’re ready to change your sheets all you have to do is grab the pillowcase from the shelf! Everything will already be neatly folded inside and you won’t have won’t have to dig around for a matching set.
Plus, your linen closet will be looking mighty organized!
