When you think of online dating, the first thing that likely comes to mind is Match.com. And while that will always be “the original”, kids these days aren’t using the site to meet singles. In fact, they’re mostly not using anything that starts with “www.” The digital dating scene for 20-somethings is pretty much app based. It’s become more superficial (look through pictures and then click “X” or “Heart”) and easier than ever to connect with friends of friends of friends. Oh, and hooking up is now the main priority over finding a committed partner.

So if you’re a Millennial trying to figure out which crazy dating app is for you, or a parent who just found out what Tinder is, check out this rundown of the best dating apps out there. We break down how each app works and what kind of outcome you’ll get from each.

And don’t forget to check out: movies that won’t make you depressed on Valentine’s Day, Splendid’s new Indigo Dye collection and get Beyonce’s AM eyewear sunglasses
