Seriously, does anyone use the Stocks app? OK, maybe it would come in handy if you work on Wall Street, but that’s only, like, 0.897% of the population. So why, Apple, WHY did you give the rest of us this useless square?
While we might never know the answer to that, we can do something about those apps that come with our iPhone. If you have iOS 9 or newer (which, at this point, you really should), you can get rid of any app. YouTube user videosdebarraquito discovered how it’s done.
First, you have to move the app you are trying to delete into a folder. Don’t know how to make a folder? Just press and hold the app you want to put in a folder, and drag it to another one you want in that same folder.
Once you put the app in a folder, press and hold it until it starts to shake. Drag it over to the next page in the folder. Repeat again so the app is on a third page in the folder. Now it’s time for some multi-tasking. Keep holding the app and tap the button at the bottom of your iPhone. Then it should just fly away! Buh-bye, Stocks!
The only issue is that when you restart your iPhone, the app comes back. But if you’re like everyone, you would never dare shut off your phone–so no problem!
