Pretty much everything about getting your first apartment is amazing…except the fact that it will likely be the size of your thumb. Okay, I’m exaggerating. But unless your Eloise and moving into The Plaza Hotel, it’s not going to be fancy. At all. But what it WILL be is wonderfully imperfect. It will have its little quirks, you know, like the shower head having to stay turned a certain way, or the too thin walls between your bedroom and your neighbor’s. But these little things are what make having your own place extra special.
As someone who recently got her first apartment, I too am dealing with the quirks. For me, the biggest one has to be the fact that my bedroom has no closet.
