There’s a lot to be said for moderation — and the days just following Thanksgiving are definitely proof. Only a few celebrities though have caught on to that mantra and names like Kanye West or Miley Cyrus are above and beyond not those people. For them, and all of us watching them, 2013 has been a roller coaster ride of WTFs, OMGs and SMHs. And that was when you were actually able to muster up the strength to watch.

Of course, if you did, it’s likely you caught a few glimpses of their gold pieces — hanging from their necks, and ears and any place conceivable (yes, most likely exactly where your mind just went). While copying the fashion sense of the ultra elite (AKA those who claim that elite status in interviews and on stage performances that few other people thought were all that special) might not be what you would consider a good idea, when done with a little less exaggeration, laid back looks paired with oversized gold chains can actually verge on Coco Chanel-esque rather than rapper-like.

Be wary, that’s fine. But these six finds are about to become your very own gold pieces. And yes, you can call them that.
