How to Wear Lace Tights (Without Looking Like Mrs. Robinson)

Lace tights are one of the sexiest trends in hosiery we’ve seen–we love the way Beyonce and Taylor Momsen incorporate them into their every day wardrobes. As temperatures drop, we get sick of the same old black tights day after day, so lace switches things up. Done the right way, they can look flawless, but done wrong, they resemble a Halloween costume. We’ll make it easy: start with Wolford’s “Flora” tights. They’re high quality, which is the first way to ensure they look classy.

Keep everything else you’re wearing sophisticated and demure, and the colors neutral. Opt for a simple knee-length dress, classic pumps and a ladylike handbag. This way, the focus will be on your sultry tights, not what’s underneath them. Stay away from dresses that are too short and form-fitting and pass on the sky-high boots, too.
