How To Winterize Your Summer Dresses When They're Not Quite Ready For Retirement

Though store windows are well into fur coat season; we’re not ready to put away our fun summer dresses just yet. In fact, we’re just getting started rocking florals, lace, and cutouts. How do we make our most summery frocks fall-appropriate? Easy:

1. Black tights. It is my firm belief that no matter how summery a garment (bikini tops excluded), adding black tights will always tone it down for cooler weather.

2. Booties. Booties, like black tights, offer protection from the elements and an added dash of style

3. Leather Jacket. You’ve had four months of wearing your tanktop, strapless, and otherwise revealing little garments. To protect from the elements, and look both seasonally appropriate and totally on-trend, just throw a leather jacket over it.

You’re officially ready for fall.
