The Slow and Steady Wins the Race cotton-blend top ($180) is not your average sweatshirt. The top, found on Net-A-Porter’s FINDS section, features slits in the shoulders that create a second set of arm holes, so the sweatshirt can actually be worn two ways: the standard arm-thru-sleeves way (boring!) or put your arms through the slits and tie the sleeves in the front. Genius!
It’s reminiscent of that grunge-style shirt-tied-around-waist trend that was pioneered by Phillip Lim last summer. The trend featured printed skirts, jean shorts and the like with what looked like a flannel or chambray shirt tied around the waist (so 90s!). The shirt was actually attached the shirt (no, it wasn’t a two-for-one type deal) and the look went for somewhere between $125 to $450:
