We’ve all experienced it. The moment when you realize your life has been totally consumed by your child and you haven’t had time to do any of the things you enjoyed before becoming a mom.
But we’re here to remind you that every good mom needs (and deserves!) a break every once in a while. Whether you take an hour to get a manicure or go for a quick jog every morning, setting aside some “me” time is absolutely essential.
Looking for some ideas? Here are a few of the ways Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham likes to unwind:
1. I love listening to music when I’m trying to unwind. I play all kinds of music to help me start thinking outside of my mommy box for a little while.
2. Staying active is a great way to relieve stress, so I like to go on a walk or for a run when I’m feeling anxious. It makes me feel good and it’s good for me.
3. Massages! When I just need silence and to zone out, I treat myself to a 30 minute massage. It’s a no-fail way to make my week more positive.
4. Talking to my counselor for an hour or so really allows me to let go of things that are bothering me. At the end of the counseling sessions I feel like I can be more productive. It helps me feel more like myself again.
