Women will do just about anything for beauty — and I mean anything. Still, it takes a certain breed of woman to go to these lengths: 5 1/2-inch Yves Saint Laurent Platform Peep Toe Heels ($660 @ Barney’s). Despite a massive celebrity following and all the trend mongers hollering about how these are hotter than molten lava, I must admit that towering platform heels make me a little dizzy. For me, I know that the 3 1/2-inch version ($495 @ Saks) will save my body, allow me to walk, and best of all, keep me from looking like a corner hooker (although a wealthy one at that).
