If I Lived In San Francisco, I'd Wear This All The Time
December 19, 2007
What: Leather Button Jacket, $240 (marked down from $328)
Why: I often fantasize about living in a warm weather climate. No snow, no frostbite from my ten minute walk to the subway…everything about it sounds sublime. But I don't know if I could handle truly hot weather all year round. Although I love the warmth, but I also enjoy plenty of the fashion that comes with colder weather, especially chic jackets.
So I think San Francisco could be the perfect alternative to NYC (weather-wise, that is). And if I lived with chilly days that never got too, too cold, I'd definitely trade in my incredibly heavy, unattractive snow coat for a stylish leather jacket like this. Just the right combination of the motorcycle-chic trend with some slightly more ladylike tailoring, this cropped style would be perfect for pairing with anything from a sweater and jeans to a sexy pencil skirt and heels.
To make the design even more appealing, Banana Republic has already knocked $70 off the price, and there's still a full selection of sizes available on the website. So whether you're lucky enough to live somewhere that blizzards can't find or you just want to look good when visiting a more temperate city, I say buy, buy, buy.
