Is It Just Us Or Did H&M Seriously Botch This Poor Girl's Legs In Photoshop?
December 19, 2013
Browsing H&M’s Facebook page this morning, we couldn’t help but notice that something seemed off about one particular photo of a model in a festive red dress and fedora hat. Hate to say it, but we think we’ve spied a potential #PhotoshopFail. Look closely–the right leg of the model seems to be awkwardly turned inward, kind of like they ‘shopped it on in retouching.
Of course, as one of our graphics girls pointed out, the model could be a little bow-legged, in which case: that’s awesome. It’s good to see beautiful women with real imperfections in advertising! Not everyone can wake up FLAWLESS like Beyoncé.
But if this is the work of Photoshop, we can’t help but wonder: has the thigh gap obsession gotten so intense that we’re making models look bow-legged for the sake of fashion?
