There’s a new viral app on the block – Snapchat. Billed by its developers as a way to share photos with friends and family in real time and make “social media fun again,” the app allows you to send photos and videos to your friends more quickly than MMS messages and control how long the recipient is allowed to view the photo/video – making it convenient for, um, compromising images. It’s been around since April 2011, but until recently, it’s only been used for it’s most obvious purpose: sexting. Now though, over 50 million photos and videos (known as “snaps”) are shared every day – the bulk of them being goofy selfies. What do you think? Will this app become to the new Instagram?
