It's Official: Marchesa Is Launching A Lower-Priced Contemporary Line

The designers behind Marchesa, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, have announced that the brand will be launching a lower-priced, contemporary line by the end of 2013, Vogue UK reports. The line will range in price from $150-$750 and is expected to feature the brand’s signature use of embroidery and print – but re-imagined for everyday. Chapman said of the new endeavor:

It’s going to be under the Marchesa umbrella, but with a slightly different feel. We have been so specific for such a long time, and the idea to broaden out to a different consumer, and to our same consumer as well. We haven’t really looked at that market yet. My dream is to give Marchesa many facets, and that’s just one of them.

The rumors regarding this line started last Spring, and we can’t wait to see how it turns out. Of course, we’ll keep you updated as more details come in. But for now…
