It's Not A Tube Top, It's A Strapless Tank

The term "tube top" scares us a bit, evoking images of under-dressed 'tweens and bare midriffs. But in more elegant incarnations, strapless tops can be a lovely way to showcase toned shoulders or a great necklace. And the slightly billowy versions do wonders for hiding a not-quite-flat tummy while drawing attention up, towards your face and collarbone.

Below, three flattering strapless tops that do not correlate with dangly belly button rings.

This Silk Tube Top ($145) is ruched at the waist to add some structure to the long, flowy cut.

Old Navy’s Keyhole Tube Top ($14.50) has a relaxed, blousy fit; the cutout at the top shows just a peek of skin.

This Embroidered Tube Top ($188) has a structured bust that lends some support and a flattering empire waist. The detail at the bottom is a subtle way to sport the season’s ethnic-embroidery trend.
